I’m currently sitting at Charles de Gaulle airport. The woman on the loudspeaker is announcing for the 50th time, with just a wee bit of anxiety in her voice, that the person—I’mnotsayingyou’reaterroristbutpleaselistenup!—who left his/her blue sack at the cafe in Terminal A should come and retrieve it.
Luckily, I have the powers of the Internet to keep me entertained. And look at what I've discovered:
Sugar linked with mental problems in Norway study
The study demonstrates that there is a “strong association between soft drink consumption and mental health problems among Oslo 10th graders.”
Now I know what you’re thinking: Oslo? But they’re Norweigians! They have no sun! They spend all their time in tanning salons and in thinking about suicide!”
True, true. But I have to admit that I myself have a hard time paying attention when I have too much Coke Zero. Up until I read that article, though, I thought my jumpy excitement was simply because Coke Zero IS THE BEST DRINK EVER.
