Today’s Marketing Tip: Make things sound better than they are

Today’s marketing tip, courtesy of a Mr. David Frey: Your marketing message should "speak" to your prospect. This is done by appealing to your prospect's "hot buttons" or those sensitivities that trigger an emotional reaction.

You can imagine how my “hot buttons” were “pushed” by the description of Krong Kraeng on the back of my Amazing Thai Desserts box:

A kind of Thai desserts with the shape of small shell or clam, with the outer shell of clam-like curly pattern, made of fried flour with brown sugar and spice coated. Pretty neat and appetizing looking indeed.

The taste of the Krong Kraeng did indeed take me through multiple stages of emotional reaction:

What "hot buttons" got pushed to entice you to even try this "Thai desserts"? No trace of chocolate in sight!

Even Bunji wouldn't touch this one. He sniffed the trash can and instead picked out a Pizza Hut flyer, which he devoured.
