Jelly Belly Tour

Looks like Jelly Belly is now offering a behind-the-scenes tour of its super secret jelly belly operations. For $40, visitors can walk the halls where lime and pineapple and pina colada jelly beans are made each day.:

"Learn the secrets to how they create the legendary Jelly Belly jelly bean, and discover why it takes more than a week to make a single bean." (My note: other things that take more than a week: whiskey, the gestation period of a water opossum, andthe creation of the world.)

If it weren't out in the middle of nowhere, I'd totally check this out. At the very least it'd give me a chance to try to sabotage the vat where they make that disgusting popcorn flavor.

and that's when they're not even trying to be disgusting... take a gander at the Harry Potter Jelly Belly flavors: EARWAX, BACON, DIRT, SPINACH, GRASS, BOOGER, SARDINE, BLACK PEPPER, ROTTEN EGG, EARTHWORM, SOAP, and SPAGHETTI. Lovely.

I spotted a Jelly Belly shower-gel pouch in Habitat the other day and thought of getting it for you. But then I remembered your rules regarding gifts and thought you might make it too seriously. Also, I wasn't sure where you stand on the issue of things that aren't candies (erasers, el Bulli concoctions, novelty radios) that are made to look like candies. What is the moko's official position on that?
