What I did on my summer vacation (a.k.a. ode to wagashi)

Greetings, Mokoites!

I spent last week in Hokkaido, the 'unexplored frontier' of Japan.

Hokkaido's famous for beautiful scenery:

But for me the trip was all about Japanese wagashi and azuki bean paste:

I have about thirty more photos that look like the above. I will spare you though.

I indulged my sweet tooth quite a few times while there, so expect nothing but Japan posts for the next week or so...
