Chapeau Chapon!

I have to admit that when it comes to French chocolate I am nowhere near as well schooled as I should be. While I was certainly interested in tasting any and all chocolates while living in Paris, I pretty much stopped my quest for the perfect bit of chocolate after I encountered at the Maison du Chocolat in the 16th arrondissement.

My friends--one of whom is an up-and-coming erotic fiction writer (and how excited am I to be able to say that!)--spent last week with us in London and brought me these Chapon chocolates. I have to say they're pretty impressive. I had a chocolate strawberry filling and a chocolate cafe filling and a chocolate orange filling and....it may sound quite over-the-top, Russel Stover-esque, but the taste was really quite subtle and nice.

Worth checking out if you're in la France. Oh, and if you're over 18, buy my friend's book! (While the content is pretty graphic, rest assured that at no point does it involve any chocolate sex lotion, or anything that would change your perception of desserts or candy.)

I think I speak for all mono-lingual members of your illustrious audience when I ask: How do the double entendres stack up in french?
